Sneak peek of my next novel!

Hey guys,

I'm excited to share more information and some updates on the progress of my second novel! As previously mentioned, this is another story set in the same universe as The University of Corporeal & Ethereal Studies. You'll find a mix of steampunk science fiction, otherworldly fantasy and macabre horror, with themes of introspection, the struggles of young adulthood, and a wild combination of ideas and imagery.

I'm currently editing my first draft, and have applied for the copyright of my manuscript while I work with beta readers, and fellow writers exchanging critiques and feedback!

Now what you're probably here for - some details about the story! Here's my first draft of a summary (still subject to changes):

"Rhiz was ready to run away. Born dead, supernatural powers traded her mother's life for hers. Her father is a colonist burying his grief in drugs, and her mother was a native mystic, leaving Rhiz a "cursed" outcast.

Using nectar of the spectral grave flower grown by the necropolis mystics, Rhiz can visit her mother's memories. But if there is more to the ghostly apparitions than shared memories, it is not enough to keep Rhiz from wanting to fly far away.

Airship pirates profited from Graveport relatively harmoniously, until the allied Corvid Captains murder their leader. The traitors want to pillage everything, including the necropolis grave flowers preserving the memories of the dead.

Now Rhiz must protect a home that never wanted her. Fighting sky pirates will require unlikely allies, reckless schemes, and Rhiz will have to face her worst fears to embrace her terrifying power."
